A weekend with Chris Del Moro shooting for Issue 3 of Foam Symmetry in the Byron region…. these are a few shots that didn’t make the cut. What a great guy to hang with and watch surf…. shredding!

Kiama Harbour

Rarely breaks but Jake managed to score a few fun ones on his old mal one day over the Christmas break… right place right time!

Shot with my old film camera from across the harbour.

Contemplating the next set!

Long Lefts…..

Jake’s hm away from home just an hour and a half south of Sydney, a beach many overlook, but has more than its fair share of days with great waves…. this day long logging lefts lining up perfectly for Jake & his George Rice Old Mal…  me shooting with a sling on using an old film body … just feeding off his stoke whilst out of the water recovering!

Cookie Heart’s Oak Park

Caught up with my good pal Cookie just hours before his departure for Byron Bay, where he and his girl Elisha are going to trying to make a go of running a cafe, as well as possibly a surf shop…. good luck guys!

Cookie has a love affair with Oak Park in Cronulla, and this is where I caught up with him and a bunch of his retro single fins ( pics shot using film )…. always shredding that place mate! Don’t forget us! Yewwwwwwwww

Yew…

Well it’s been a while since my last post. A lot has ben going on , and I’ve kind of neglected the website, with all the magazine stuff going on and a full on shoulder operation,  my life has been hectic… anyway, I’ve been messing around with his old Canon film camera – way different for me and a heap of fun I must say. I did a little morning trip to the Northern Beaches just prior to Chrissy to catch up with Chono, Cloudy and young shredder Benjy Fodor… here’s a few pics from a couple of sessions that morning at Nth Av and The Basin. Stay tuned…  more posts coming real soon!  I hope you all had a safe Christmas & Happy New Year… frothing on 2012!

Benjy at Nth Av… keep your eyes out for this kid, he’s going places, just need to find him a new board!

Chono at the Basin

Cloudy and Chono discussing Matt’s dressing room at Nth Av.

Cloudy at Nth Av… looking forward to catching up with her again soon! Keep your eyes peeled in Issue 2 of the mag… YEW!

Byron with The Boys

Was lucky to get a few boys together to head up to Byron and stay in a house together for a week, getting some waves and having just a heap of fun. Josh Constable, Jako, Sage Joske & Brett Caller all stayed in the house for the week , and a cameo appearance for a few days by Mr Chonoski and his mate Jake Bulgin, as well as Coffs Coast Photog / Videographer Tom Woods who was up to shoot some footage for a new Critical Slide Clip…  we pretty much scored waves all week, surfing everywhere from South Straddie to North Wall Ballina… logging waves, tubes… you name it , we had it.  Still frothing on such a good time. yew!

Josh on the tip at The Pass… this session ended early for me with a board to the head!  ha… Bloody Kooks!

Jake had a ball on the Byron Beachy lefts

The Lord of Byron ( Brett’s nickname for the week ) … I don’t think he’ll want us all back there together in a hurry! haha

The King of Valla Sage Joske was right at home at Boulders on his twin keel fish

Chono was MVP on our trip to South Straddie… the Gato perfectly suited conditions that day
